The five-day event will feature various activities that will showcase science, technology, and innovation in the region and will likewise adopt the NSTW 2018 theme "Science for the People: Innovation for Collective Prosperity."
Among the activities to watch for are exhibits, bazaars, various fora, the traveling Science Centrum, integrated science and mathematicsquiz, and the Search for 2018 Ginoo at Binibining Agham at Teknolohiya, among others.
Prior to the opening ceremonies on 13 August, a press conference will be led by Department of Science and Technology Secretary Fortunato T. de la Pena on 12 August from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Riverview Hotel and Resort.
Considered as the largest region in the Philippines in terms of land area, Region 2 is composed of five provinces -Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino.
The RSTW celebration in Cagayan is open to allSamp;T enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, students, researchers, inventors, innovators, professionals, and the general public. Admission is free. (DOST)
