Business meeting called in London for Monday

A meeting in London on Monday will bring together business leaders who are seeking urgent government help.
The annual Confederation of British Industry conference will be dominated by talk of an economic stimulus plan to combat the downturn.
While welcoming a recent US$64 billion bank bailout, the CBI has said that any efforts made by the government would have to provide an immediate effect, as businesses were already having problems with cash flow.
The CBI is Britain's biggest employers body, representing around 240,000 companies
The Bank of England, Britain's central bank, has warned of the risk of deflation due to Britain being hit hard by the economic contraction.
Unemployment, meanwhile, has surged, jumping to an 11-year high of 5.8 percent in the three months to September.
