BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Nov. 5 (PIA) -- The Department of the Interior and Local Government has praised this province for its outstanding implementation of the Conditional Matching Grant for Provinces (CMGP) for road repair, rehabilitation, and development.
A plaque of appreciation was awarded to the provincial government by DILG Assistant Regional Director Elpidio Durwin during a recent flag raising program at the provincial capitol.
DILG provincial chief Elma Urbina said the province fared excellent in complying with the standards set under the CMGP, previously known as the Konkreto at Ayos na Lansangan at Daan Tungo sa Pangkalahatang Kaunlaran (KALSADA).
"We owe this honor to our provincial officials. This only shows that they are doing their best to ensure that road projects are implemented effectively and properly," Urbina said.
Nueva Vizcaya ranked 6 out of the top 20 local government units in the country as superior performers of the DILG's CMGP.
Rachel Magday-Itchon, executive assistant of the provincial government, said the road projects implemented in the province since 2016 to present is worth more than P100 million.
"These are Farm-to-Market-Roads which are needed by farmers and to promote domestic tourism in our province," Magday-Itchon said. (ALM/BME/PIA -2/Nueva Vizcaya)
