DAVAO CITY (PIA) - The 17th Annual Conference of Career Executive Service Officers (CESOs) is now open to the participation of division level government agency heads with non-CES eligibility.
Association of Regional Executives of National Line Agencies (ARENA) Chairperson Ma. Lourdes Lim in an interview revealed the recommendation to open the CESO Annual Conference to non-CES 3rd level officials up to division level.
"Mind you, that the 3rd level officers are the managerial or the executive level of the government, and this is an important segment of the Philippine bureaucracy that really sees to the nitty-gritty of government operations," Lim, also regional director of the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) XI, said.
ARENA XI is co-hosting the 17th CESO Annual Conference with the National Union of Career Executive Service Officers, Inc. (NUCESO) and the Career Executive Service Board (CESB), she said.
"This is the first time that NUCESO will be opening up this, up to the division level," she said as she viewed the event as an "opportunity for them to be exposed to trainings to be conducted by the CESB and NUCESO for the 3rd level."
Lim cited the event as opportune time for CESOs and 3rd level national government officers "to be capacitated of the latest government policies such as the Ease of Doing Business Act," among other topics lined up during this year's CESO conference.
Currently being held at SMX Convention Center in Lanang, Davao City, the event is expected to gather some ,000 to 1,500 participants nationwide. (PIA XI)
