FOUNDATION FOR Media Alternatives (FMA) is accepting applicants for a series of capacity-building and awareness-raising activities, including the Digital Rights Camp, to advance human rights in the Philippine digital environment. The camp will be held May 29-31 at a venue to be announced later.
Established in 1987, the FMA assists citizens and communities especially civil society organizations (CSOs) and other disadvantaged sectors in the strategic and appropriate use of information and communications technologies (ICTs) for democratization and popular empowerment.
The Digital Rights Camp aims to enhance local networking, popularize digital rights issues, and expand digital rights campaigns and movements by connecting human rights defenders and advocates to empower one another with strategies, resources, and tools, and to set an action plan for moving forward based on knowledge exchange, cooperation, and community building.
Further details on the program will only be shared with the selected participants. FMA will provide partial and full travel/accommodation scholarships to selected participants.
For the application form, email FMA at email@example.com. The deadline of submission is on or before April 30, 2019. Selected participants will be notified on May 15, 2019.
