NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, July 11 (PIA) -- The Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology (Tech4ED) Center topped in terms of the number of platform-based users and the most number of trainings conducted among centers in the Visayas Cluster.
The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) cited NOLITC as top one in the total number of platform-based users as of April 2019 and also ranked first in the total number of trainings conducted from November 2018 to April 2019.
The awards were given during a Tech4ED Center Conference held in Iloilo City while NOLITC Vocational School Administrator Dr. Ma. Cristina Orbecido and other staff recently presented the awards to Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, according to a release from the Capitol.
NOLITC bested 185 other Tech4ED Centers in the Visayas Cluster 1. Tech4ED Centers numbering to about 3,144 are now operating in the whole country.
NOLITC Tech4ED Center was also chosen as one of the finalists for the GAD Awards under the DigiPinay Category organized by DICT.
The GAD awarding ceremony will be held on August 14-16, 2019 during the Knowledge Exchange Conference in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
