PASIG CITY, April 5 (PIA) -- The Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI) and the GT Foundation, Inc. on Friday handed over P5-million worth of Personal
Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Lung Center of the Philippines and six City of Manila District Hospitals.
According to Metrobank Foundation, around 4,000 frontline health workers will be able to use the PPE which include hazmat suits, N95 masks and gloves.
Manila Vice Mayor Honey Sheilah "Honey" Lacuna-Pangan and Manila Police District Special Mayor's Reaction Team Head Police Major Rosalino Ibay received the donations, on behalf of the city government.
The office of Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso will distribute the donations to Justice Abad Santos Medical Center, Ospital ng Sampaloc, Ospital ng Tundo, Sta. Ana Hospital, Gat Andres Bonifacio Medical Center and Ospital ng Maynila.
Meanwhile, another set of PPEs will be given to the Philippine General Hospital on Monday.
The donation is part of the P200 million pledge by Metrobank and GT Capital Holdings in the fight against COVID-19. (MBFI/PIA-NCR)
