PASIG CITY, May 31 (PIA) - As part of its preparation for the resumption of operation, the Philippine National Railways (PNR) has put-up sanitation station or 'Sani-station' in all designated entry points of PNR stations and terminals.

At the 'Sani-station,' passengers will be asked to do the following: Step on the disinfection foot bath; Step on the drying mat; and Pump alcohol/sanitizer.

After passing the 'Sani-station,' each passenger must submit to thermal scanning and to security screening.

For everyone's protection, mandatory wearing of face mask will be implemented in all PNR stations and facilities. Likewise, social distancing will be observed in the workplace and stations to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.

Train personnel, rail police and train marshals will also guide passengers.

Meanwhile, hand washing stations are also being installed at train stations to help prevent the spread of the virus or any other diseases.

Light rails are also gearing up for resumption of operations come Monday, June 1. Authorities have also placed safety health protocols in train stations and inside the trains as well.
