QUEZON CITY, July 7 - The National Power Corporation Ladies Foundation, Inc. (NPC LFI) recently donated an ICT classroom to Fatima National High School (FNHS) in Bohol.
In a virtual turnover ceremony via Zoom, the Foundation headed by Ambassador Virginia "Gee" H. Benavidez, assured that the classroom would be ready for the opening of classes in August.
This is the second ICT classroom project by the Foundation. The first one was given to Amai Pakpak Central Elementary School (APCES) in Marawi City last year.
Amid the spread of coronavirus in the country, the NPC LFI plans to start a virtual fund raising program for another classroom project in the Luzon area.
A 2020 Dugong Bayani and Gawad Marcelo H. Del Pilar awardee, the NPC-LFI is a non-stock, non-profit organization whose members were lady managers and wives of NPC Executives with the spouse of the President and CEO as Foundation President.
As part of NPC corporate social responsibility, membership to Ladies Foundation is also open to all women employees who have interest to do civic works.
"I have always believed that if we have a mission with a vision, passion with compassion, we can make things happen and great things come to life. We all have a stake in doing the best we can for the education and empowerment of our beloved students - the future of our nation," said Benavidez about their recent project. (TNN/PIADPD/NPC-LFI)
