They underwent rapid diagnostic testing (RDT) at Dona Maria D. Tan Memorial Hospital testing center and were brought to the provincial quarantine facilities afterwards. "We need your prayers Misamisnons that all of them will be negative," Governor Philip Tan said.
Since June 1, the frontliners here have facilitated and tested 4,620 locally stranded individuals (LSIs) and returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs) coming from ports, airports and land borders. Of such individuals, 69 obtained positive results.
There were 32 individuals who yielded positive results thru reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) testing.
About 17 have recovered here and currently, there are 14 active cases and 19 confirmed cases who are handled in the provincial facilities.
Tan thanked the frontliners for their sacrifice saying, "Kung wala mo unsaon na lang. If our frontliners have not detected the positive possible matakdan atong katawhan sa province (If not for you, how will things be? If our frontliners have not detected the positive cases, there is a possibility that a lot of people will be infected)." (SMRN/PIA Misamis Occidental)
