BAGUIO CITY - The city government has shortened to eight hours its liquor ban and increased the capacity of establishments and facilities after it was placed under Alert Level 2.

In Executive Order (EO) 160-2010 which took effect on Wednesday, the liquor ban in the city is now only from 2 a.m. to 10 a.m. from the previous 12-hour schedule from 12 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The EO is in compliance with the new alert level classifications released by the Inter-Agency Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), which downgrade the city's category from the previous Alert Level 3.

The general curfew is also lifted but this may be reimposed depending on the Covid-19 situation.

The EO said the on-site capacity of public and private workplaces is now at 80 percent.

Meanwhile, dine-in establishments; gyms, fitness centers, salons, spas, and personal care; museums, cultural centers, libraries and archives, and other tourist and leisure attractions, E-bingo and other gaming establishments are allowed at 50 percent venue capacity and for fully vaccinated persons only while 70 percent is allowed for outdoor venues.

Activities like meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions, religious gatherings, necrological services, wakes, interments, funerals, and private social gatherings will have a maximum number of participants equivalent to 50 percent of the venue capacity and for fully vaccinated persons only while 70 percent will be allowed for the outdoor venue.

"All establishments may add 10 percent to permitted capacity if with Safety Seal certificate," the order said.

All public utility drivers shall be fully vaccinated and those unvaccinated are required to undergo RT-PCR/antigen testing every two weeks at their own expense.

The same rule will also apply for workers in public and private workplaces as contained in EO 159-2021 issued on November 29. (PNA)
