MANILA, 31st October, 2022 (WAM) -- The total number of reported deaths from severe tropical storm "Nalgae" has climbed to 98, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported on Monday.

The latest situation report also showed the number of injured and missing persons at 69 and 63, respectively.

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr is set on Monday to fly over flood-submerged districts to inspect the damage after Tropical Storm Nalgae.

Damage to infrastructure due to heavy rains and strong winds was valued at 757.84 million pesos ($13.07 million), while losses in agriculture were estimated at 435.46 million pesos.
