A huge fire destroyed a historic post office in the Philippine capital Manila, injuring 18 people, officials said on Tuesday.
The fire was extinguished at around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, more than 30 hours after the initial blaze, the Philippine Fire Department announced.
The Central Post Office building caught fire at around 11:40 p.m. on Sunday, with the fire alarm at one point reaching its highest level. The entire interior of the building was almost completely destroyed, affecting items such as letters and packages stored inside.
