Mahindra has announced a price hike for its ICE SUVs and CV range, effective from 6th April 2026. Since the average price increase seems reasonable, it is unlikely to have any significant impact on sales. In FY26, Mahindra emerged as the second largest carmaker in India, powered by astrong demand for its SUVsandborn-electric offerings. Mahindra Price Hike April 2026
According to Mahindra, the price hike has been necessitated due to a combination of cost escalations. Prices of ICE SUVs and CV range will be increased by up to 2.5%. Across the portfolio, the average price hike is 1.6%. Mahindra had earlier announced a price hike across the range in March 2025. At that time, prices were increased by up to 3%.
Other carmakers such as Tata Motors, JSW MG Motor and Honda have also announced price hikes in April 2026. For the April 2026 price hike, Mahindra has mentioned that the recently launched XUV7XO wont be impacted immediately. For the first 40,000 bookings, the XUV7XO will continue to be available at the earlier pricing.
Price hike for XUV7XO will become applicable after the first 40,000 units are delivered. The XUV7XO is available in the price range of Rs 13.66 lakh to Rs 25.07 lakh. In addition to the 40,000 units of theXUV7XO, Mahindras born-electric SUVs have also been spared from this latest price hike.
These EVs include the BE6, XEV 9e and the XEV 9S. These electric SUVs recently achieved the collective sales milestone of 50,000 units. Strong demand for these EVs has propelled Mahindra to the third position in the list of bestselling electric car brands in India. Mahindra born-electric EVs have achieved the 50k sales milestone in just one year since launch.
Revised price estimates
Actual price increase for Mahindra ICE SUVs is likely to vary based on the variant. Many variants may even be spared of the price hike entirely. To get a ballpark figure, we can consider the average price hike of 1.6% mentioned by Mahindra. Most accessible is the XUV 3XO, currently available in the price range of Rs 7.37 lakh to Rs 14.55 lakh. Applying the 1.6% average price hike, the new price could be in the range of Rs 7.49 lakh to Rs 14.78 lakh.
Mahindra Bolero is available in the price range of Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 9.80 lakh. New prices could be in the range of Rs 8.12 lakh to Rs 9.96 lakh.Mahindra Tharis currently available in the price range of Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 17.19 lakh. With the 1.6% average increase, the new prices could be around Rs 10.15 lakh to Rs 17.47 lakh.
Mahindra Thar Roxx is available in the price range of Rs 12.39 lakh to Rs 22.25 lakh. New prices could be around Rs 12.59 lakh to Rs 22.61 lakh. Mahindra Scorpio-N is currently available in the price range of Rs 13.49 lakh to Rs 24.34 lakh. New prices could be around Rs 13.71 lakh to Rs 24.73 lakh. These are just rough estimates, based on the stated average price hike of 1.6%.
